Author and composer Marcus Schmahl and UCP.ONE extend their exclusive cooperation. For the first time, Schubert Music Publishing will be on board as a partner and co-publisher, which will also administer Marcus Schmahl’s works worldwide in the future.

Marcus Schmahl from Mainz is better known to friends of electronic music as Broombeck, Guardner or a part of 2Pole. He has been a composer, music producer and recording studio operator for over 20 years. He also teaches students and inquisitive musicians in his studios and at various schools. The music project Guardner exists since 2000, and for many years this music was played in the night show “Space Night” of the Bayrischer Rundfunk (BR), in the show “hr-flowmotion” of the Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) and on many German TV stations as background music for e.g. reports. As a guardner he spent some time in cinemas and clubs with a live music & video program.

The Broombeck project, on the other hand, stands for a more club-related music, with several releases on well-known record companies. As Broombeck, Marcus Schmahl toured the international club scene for a long time with a live program and/or as a DJ. Currently, however, the main focus is on the project 2Pole, which he founded together with Mark Ullrich. From Adam Beyer to Tale of Us and Ida Engberg, all the big names of the scene are currently playing the titles in the small clubs and on the big floors of the festivals.
