Finnish melodic death metallers Voidfallen have released their new single “Starved Of Martyrs“, which gives a first taste of their upcoming album, which will be released worldwide on UCP.ONE. The track is released together with a music video, which can be viewed on YouTube and elsewhere from today.
Voidfallen comment: “Starved of Martyrs is a fast and relentless track that adds an almost thrashy feel to the band’s otherwise black melodeath sound palette. The theme of the song revolves around the toxic glorification of living in misery.”
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, the band was formed in 2019 as a two-man project by guitarists Tommi Kangaskortet and Henri Vuorenmaa, with the aim of learning from past mistakes and making music without compromise. After recording the debut EP “The Sinners, the Plague and the Voidfallen” (2019), the remaining slots were filled with experienced musicians to prepare for live shows, and since then Voidfallen have made a steadily growing name for themselves. But not only musically, in terms of the quality of the compositions and production, this band has always paid a lot of attention to the visual aspects as well, taking the melodeath genre to new heights with their dark approach and stunning visual effects.
After the release of their critically acclaimed debut album “The Atlas of Spiritual Apocalypse” (2021), the German record label Noble Demon became aware of Voidfallen, with whom the band will release their second album in early 2024.
